CS Source
Up till a few weeks ago, this was my life. Sitting infront of the computer for 5-6 hours every evening, practising maps, tactics and special moves. All in order to achieve greatness.
WTN
It all started with sof2 back in 2003. Started playing for fun with a classmate and it soon evolved into finding a clan. I found my place with the dutch lads known as , short for We Trust Nobody. It was a cool clan with people from everywhere. We didn’t have no server to play on but used the TBC server frequently. This was before I knew what ping was and how it affected the game. The server was located in Dallas, Texas but we didnt care. It was january 24th when i joined their ranks and it would be another 14-16 months before i left.
Start of 5th
We had played game-ladder 2005, my first league with matches that mattered. I had tasted the great of winning a game, of being better than someone else. That was a feeling i wanted to keep. So after finding out about CS Source one day when i was bored, i knew what i was gonna be good at. I gathered what skills i could find in WTN and took them with me to 5th, a clan that was gonna make the high ranks.
But we never did, had most games vs german randoms that was to lame to know their own mothers. I got an offer from Zarathustra, about a new swedish clan that was gonna set the standard for swedish clans forever. 5th had been a mixed clan with dutch, danish and swedish players, when i left it was Gl0w, .aToria, Ek0 and Charon that made the lineup with me. It had featured P3ak, Pissed, ElmiNster, Osmo, Shaitan and of course NGN, my danish guru.
ng2
ng2 was da real swedish clan, here i met the legends now known as sgs, raev, zarathustra and a_bigmamma. As a proper lineup we had working tactics, practise hours all week and league games 2 times a week. But again I got a better offer.
defs.sub
Raev had been talking to people in the Defining Stars organization and was being drafted to their ranks. They needed a last to finish the lineup and Raev knew who had the skills. After one single PCW with the main team as spectators, we were being pulled in as defs.sub a team that would play vs the main team and together promote the organization. This little adventure only lasted a couple of weeks untill we understood things were going bad. We had no sever, no ventrilo and no contact with either orga or main team. So we left and created Hitokiri.
Hitokiri
Hitokiri was japanese and meant Human Slayer, it sounds cool i know
The first lineup was YATZY, kefka, Extas, Raev and sgs. It was this lineup that was gonna stand rather intact and reach the real clouds in a year. Hitokiri had lineup changes all the time and contantly a new tryout. Best mentions is Xtreon and Dvizo who made great impressions on me. After som success Hitokiri was picked up by the swedish dod 1.3 powerhouse Carlstad-Wapen.
Carlstad-wapen
In cawa we met ZQ, the best manager we had. He payed for the server and was contantly updating the site with news about the scene and our accomplishments. Then suddenly one day he went offline. We never heard of him again, and Carlstad-Wapen as an organization went downwards, and it went fast.
Swestrike
Migel was able to find us Swestrike, and that is where the lads currently reside. There they have a stable server and ventrilo payed for and a organization that wont budge for a smaller problem.
Break
When i decided to quit gaming, we were in the top3 of Sweden and just about to prove ourselves with the better teams of Europe. The decision to quit was good, it was taking up to much of my time. I felt like i was locked up infront of the computer and not having fun like i should be. By quiting i have extra time everyevening and can do whatever i want when i want it. If i was playing like i used to i woudnt have been able to go to My that tuesday 2 weeks ago, or have her over every other night. Atleast not without either getting yelled at or putting us back in our training. The lads are now playing along without me, and doing it good. Will probobly make the CGS drafts for Europe if they try hard enough, will surely win CAL-E this season.
Return
I did return to CSS
More for the fun of it. SNL announced a season of CS Source and I just had to try it. With player licences and bigger amount of prizes it sounded like a great idea. We formed the mix Vafan, Me, .aToria, VenaGe, NossliN, cant remember the last one, sorry mate
Had a blast playing again.
Intendo/Galvanized
Tried to take it back to the other side, with taking up Intendo with Cliff and the boys. Never any sucess, think we had 5 different lineups 5 different weeks
Not a good recipee. We tried to play under the Galvanized flag and i think we managed to complete one CAL season before I again took a step back and went Sourcebasen all on my ass.
Sourcebasen
Together with Kap, NossliN and 7an550n that everyone in one time had been in Galvanized and created version4 of Sourcebasen.se. My blog has grown since and is now the biggest CS Source portal for swedish gamers. We have been to lots of different events to do live-coverage and we daily update our readers on what is happening with the scene.
